What's New:

20 years young!

The Torbay Museum has turned 20 in 2009! The Torbay Museum and Torbay Heritage Committee hosted several events to mark the occasion. The museum was re-launched with four new exhibits focusing on Torbay's unique heritage. Over 100 people showed up to celebrate with wine and cheese.

The Heritage Committee hosted a dinner to thank people who donated artefacts and time over the years. The town held a children’s day with story teller Dale Jarvis and magician Mark Webber entertaining the group with Halloween themed tricks and treats.

Liddy's Bar hosted a Kitchen Party with Ray Lake's unique take on Newfoundland music and Joy Frazer and Evelyn Osborne performing traditional Scottish step dance.

Finally, the Christmas in the Bight craft fair went off with resounding success on November 1st. All in all it was a very successful celebration and the Torbay Museum and Torbay Heritage Committee would like to extend our thanks to all of those who came out to celebrate with us and extend a special thanks to the Town of Torbay for all their support.
